Flavio’s BEM Honour

We are thrilled to announce that our Business Manager, Flavio Gracias, has been awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the King’s Birthday Honours List. This prestigious award acknowledges his dedication to improving the well-being of the Goan community in London. For the past 25 years, he has served in Practice Management within the NHS, latterly with West End Surgery.

In Flavio’s own words, “this recognition from his Majesty is as much part for my community work as it is of all the Trustees and volunteers, who have served with me over the years.  I would like to thank you all for the tremendous support I have received from all since I became involved with the Goan Welfare Society UK in 2015, and I look forward to continue working with you serving the community, as part of the charity“.
